Here it is…… Feminine Summer in the City! I recently blogged about my inspiration for this theme. I think the results were a model translation of what a themed event should be. We had a great time planning this event and the host and guest seem to have a wonderful time as well.
Our evening started with guest greeted with champagne on arrival once entered into the private, urban patio of one of DC's trendiest hot spots. The space was beautifully decorated with exotic flowers, raspberry linen and private cabanas. Guests were treated to an open bar featuring signature cocktails which were inspired by the birthday girls favorite flavors and cocktails. While listening to smooth neo-soul, and R&B, guest dined on delights such as coconut chicken, mini sliders, crab cakes and smoked salmon. Our birthday girl entered her event with a smile on her face and a tear in her eye as she greeted each of her surprise party guests. Julie Eisel, one of our favorite preferred vendors (photographers) was sure to capture these moments. After a champagne toast and the "Happy Birthday" song, Red Velvet cake from preferred vendor Icing For Joy, was served. The VIP lounge was now ready and guest proceeded to end their night dancing the rest of the night away in a special VIP lounge reserved for the guest of honor. Before leaving, everyone grabbed a Cake Pop party favor and ended the night with happy birthday wishes and kisses.
